Largest cohort study (n=103) demonstrates thoracoscopic repair of recurrent tracheoesophageal fistula after esophageal atresia is safe and effective, with outcomes comparable to open thoracotomy. Complications included esophageal leakage (12.8%), stricture (33.4%), and re-recurrence (10.8%), with 87 patients surviving at follow-up.
