Improving Pathways to Eliminate Underrepresentation in the Pediatric Surgery Workforce: A Call to Action

This article examines demographic disparities in the pediatric surgery workforce and proposes evidence-based interventions to increase minority representation across the training pipeline from medical school through fellowship. The authors argue that a more diverse surgical workforce better serves an increasingly diverse patient population.
