Urinary HSP70 can predict the indication of surgery in unilateral ureteropelvic junction obstruction

Study of 43 children demonstrates urinary HSP70 levels can help predict which cases of unilateral hydronephrosis require surgical intervention. Preoperative HSP70 levels were significantly elevated in children needing pyeloplasty versus those with non-obstructive dilation, with levels decreasing postoperatively.
