PREDICTORS OF CLINICAL RESPONSE OF ESOPHAGEAL DILATATIONS IN PEDIATRIC POPULATION

Retrospective study of 663 esophageal dilatation procedures in 111 pediatric patients identifies prognostic factors for treatment success. Airway compromise and prior feeding surgery predicted poor outcomes, while strictures under 2cm in the mid-esophagus with initial endoscope passage showed better response rates.
