Expectant management of pediatric lymphatic malformations: A 30-year chart review

Thirty-year retrospective study of 43 pediatric lymphatic malformation patients in Newfoundland demonstrates that expectant management achieves 81% clinical regression with zero recurrence, significantly outperforming surgical intervention (21% recurrence) and published sclerotherapy outcomes (48% regression). Findings support conservative management as first-line treatment for non-life-threatening cases, with average regression time of 6.6 years and no major complications.
