Telementoring of Open and Laparoscopic Knot Tying and Suturing Is Possible: A Randomized Controlled Study

Randomized trial demonstrates telementoring is equally effective as in-person instruction for teaching medical students open and laparoscopic suturing skills. Both groups achieved >90% proficiency with no significant differences in speed, quality, or cognitive load, supporting telementoring as a viable resource-efficient educational approach.
