Evaluation and management of “low” anorectal malformation in male children: an observational study

Retrospective study of 301 male patients with low anorectal malformations over 8 years shows most present in neonatal period with perineal fistula, urologic anomalies being most common association. Cutback anoplasty remains primary surgical approach, with constipation as predominant long-term complication requiring regular follow-up.
