Patient-driven healthcare recommendations for adults with esophageal atresia and their families

Qualitative study using focus groups with 15 adult EA patients and 13 family members identifies comprehensive healthcare needs across gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and psychosocial domains. Findings reveal significant long-term emotional distress and emphasize the necessity for standardized multidisciplinary follow-up programs extending into adulthood, with practical recommendations for clinicians managing this population.
