A novel micromagnetic ring used for biliary-enteric anastomosis in rats

Researchers developed a micromagnetic ring device for biliary-enteric anastomosis in rats, achieving successful anastomoses in 18/20 animals with mean operative time of 7 minutes and spontaneous ring expulsion at 12 days. The technique demonstrated reliable healing with normal bilirubin levels within one week, offering a simplified approach for establishing biliary-enteric connections in experimental models.
