Systematic review of 15 patients with Emanuel Syndrome and congenital diaphragmatic hernia reveals that surgical repair is possible but carries significant morbidity. While 2 of 5 surgically managed patients survived to discharge, survivors required tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and ECMO support, compounding the baseline challenges of Emanuel Syndrome.
