A new technique in complex chest wall reconstruction: Open reduction and internal fixation

Multicenter study of 17 pediatric patients demonstrates that open reduction and internal fixation using SternaLock and RibFix plates effectively reconstructs complex chest wall deformities including severe pectus excavatum and carinatum. The technique achieved 100% patient satisfaction with no postoperative complications and eliminates need for subsequent hardware removal surgery.
