This study proposes two novel ultrasound findings to improve early diagnosis of biliary atresia: the triangular cord ratio (anterior/posterior thickness) and presence of cystic lesions within the triangular cord. Both findings showed high specificity in distinguishing BA from other causes of neonatal cholestasis.
