The triangular cord ratio and the presence of a cystic lesion in the triangular cord. Suggested new ultrasound findings in the early diagnosis of Biliary Atresia

This study proposes two novel ultrasound findings to improve early diagnosis of biliary atresia: the triangular cord ratio (anterior/posterior thickness) and presence of cystic lesions within the triangular cord. Both findings showed high specificity in distinguishing BA from other causes of neonatal cholestasis.
