Multi-center retrospective study comparing bowel function recovery in children after transperitoneal versus retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty found no significant differences in recovery times, complications, or return to normal feeding between approaches. Both techniques demonstrated consistent postoperative bowel function recovery with minimal complications.
