Primary Closure versus Bedside Silo and Delayed Closure for Gastroschisis: A Truncated Prospective Randomized Trial

Prospective randomized trial of 38 gastroschisis patients found no significant differences in length of stay, time to enteral feeds, or ventilator duration between primary closure and bedside silo with delayed closure approaches. Both methods were safe with similar complication rates and no cases of abdominal compartment syndrome.
