Female pediatric inguinal hernia: uterine deviation toward the hernia side

Retrospective study of 94 female pediatric inguinal hernia cases shows 73.8% have uterine deviation toward the hernia side, more common in younger patients. This anatomical finding increases risk of ovarian and fallopian tube injury during repair, requiring heightened surgical awareness during laparoscopic procedures.
