Comparative analysis of suturing technique in pediatric pyeloplasty on surgical outcomes

Retrospective cohort study of 185 pediatric pyeloplasty cases demonstrates that suturing technique for ureteropelvic anastomosis does not significantly impact complication rates, leakage, stenosis, or reoperation rates in either open or laparoscopic approaches. Findings suggest surgeons may select suturing methods based on preference and comfort rather than outcome optimization.
