Surgical treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome in pediatrics

Published: Reading: 1 min

Topic overview

Retrospective review of 9 pediatric TOS patients (median age 14) treated surgically between 2001-2020 demonstrates that the transaxillary Roos operation is safe and effective for children failing conservative management. All patients achieved symptom resolution with minimal complications and excellent long-term outcomes over follow-up ranging from 4 months to 20 years.
