Surgical management and outcomes of paediatric ovarian tumours—a 25-year UK single centre experience

Twenty-five year UK study of 88 pediatric patients with ovarian tumors demonstrates 97% survival with ovary-sparing surgery feasible in one-third of cases. Most tumors were benign (85%), though rare malignancies carried poor prognosis. Modern surgical approach prioritizes fertility preservation while achieving oncologic control.
