The feasibility and safety of same-day surgery for diaphragmatic eventration by minithoracotomy in children

Comparative study of 22 pediatric patients demonstrates that minithoracotomy for diaphragmatic eventration achieves significantly shorter operative time, less blood loss, and same-day discharge compared to thoracoscopy, with no recurrence at 6-month follow-up. The technique offers a feasible alternative to thoracoscopy with faster recovery and reduced hospital stay.
