Letter to the Editor in response to: Fetal haemoglobin levels in premature newborns

This letter responds to recent findings on fetal hemoglobin decline post-transfusion in preterm neonates, noting that similar observations were previously reported by De Halleux et al. in 2002. The correspondence addresses priority of discovery in documenting physiologic HbF changes following RBC transfusion in extremely premature infants.
