Comparison of super-mini versus mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy for the treatment of upper urinary tract stones in children: a single centre experience

Published: Reading: 1 min

Topic overview

This retrospective study compared super-mini (14 Fr) versus mini (16 Fr) percutaneous nephrolithotomy in 133 pediatric patients with upper urinary tract stones. Super-mini PCNL demonstrated superior outcomes with shorter hospital stays, 100% tubeless rate, and fewer complications while achieving equivalent stone-free rates for medium-sized stones.
