Thoracoscopic oesophageal atresia/tracheo-oesophageal fistula (OA/TOF) repair is associated with a higher stricture rate: a single institution's experience

Retrospective study of 95 pediatric patients comparing thoracoscopic versus open repair of esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula. Thoracoscopic approach showed significantly higher stricture rate (72% vs 43%) but similar number of required dilatations, with low leak and recurrent fistula rates across both techniques.
