Validation of low-cost models for minimal invasive surgery training of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and esophageal atresia

This validation study demonstrates that low-cost simulation models for laparoscopic repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and esophageal atresia are effective training tools. Sixty pediatric surgeons evaluated the models during conferences, rating both face and content validity significantly above neutral, confirming their utility for preclinical skill development in complex neonatal procedures.
