Risk factors for enterocolitis in patients with Hirschsprung disease: A retrospective observational study

Retrospective study of 146 Hirschsprung disease patients found 8% preoperative and 21% postoperative enterocolitis incidence, with most postoperative cases occurring within the first year after surgery. No specific patient or clinical characteristics predicted postoperative HAEC risk, though affected patients had longer hospital readmissions.
