Association of Cryoprecipitate Use With Survival After Major Trauma in Children Receiving Massive Transfusion

Retrospective cohort study of 1,948 pediatric trauma patients receiving massive transfusion found early cryoprecipitate use associated with 6.9% lower 24-hour mortality. Benefit persisted at 7 days specifically in penetrating trauma cases and patients requiring extremely large-volume transfusion (≥100 mL/kg).
