Achieving Adequate Growth in Infants with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Prior to Discharge

Retrospective study of 149 CDH infants found 45% met malnutrition criteria at discharge despite 95% receiving maternal human milk. Infants fed human milk showed better growth than formula-fed infants, but earlier aggressive caloric supplementation is needed to improve growth velocity and potentially enhance neurodevelopmental outcomes.
