Management of hepatoblastoma in the United States: Can we do better?

This retrospective analysis of 794 U.S. children with hepatoblastoma (2004-2015) found 5-year survival of 82.8% in surgically treated patients versus 55.3% in non-surgical cases. Nearly one-quarter never received surgical treatment despite evidence that complete resection with negative margins combined with chemotherapy yields optimal outcomes, suggesting a care gap.
