Changes in FXR1 Expression After Chemotherapy for Rhabdomyosarcoma

Study of 152 pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma patients reveals FXR1 protein is highly expressed at diagnosis across all tumor types, particularly in undifferentiated cells. Decreased FXR1 expression after chemotherapy correlates with improved survival in embryonal and translocation-negative cases, but not in alveolar or translocation-positive tumors, suggesting FXR1 may serve as a prognostic biomarker for treatment response.
