We have read the paper entitled “Staged repair of proximal hypospadias: Reporting outcome of staged tubularized autograft repair (STAG)”. We congratulate the authors for their study. In this study, the success rate and complication rate after the second stage repair which constructed the new urethra were 58.6% and 43.2%, respectively. Fistula formation and glanular dehiscence (GD) after second stage repair were the most common complications with a rate of 21.6% and 24.3%, respectively. Additionally, the authors stated that four patients who developed GD underwent repair for GD, and there were no successful outcomes in three of these patients [1].
