Testis-sparing surgery for testicular tumors in children: a 20 year single center experience and systematic review of the literature

Twenty-year single-center study demonstrates testis-sparing surgery is a safe alternative to radical orchidectomy in carefully selected pediatric patients with localized testicular tumors and negative markers. Combined institutional experience (12 patients) and systematic review (269 patients) show excellent outcomes with 97% tumor control, minimal recurrence, and preserved testicular function through puberty.
