Case Series of Metal Allergy Following Nuss Procedure Not Only for Stainless Steel Bars

Retrospective case series examining metal allergies following Nuss procedure for pectus excavatum, finding 2.5% incidence with reactions occurring to both stainless steel and titanium bars. Three of five patients developed titanium allergies despite pre-operative testing, with two requiring early bar removal while maintaining good surgical correction.
