Laparoscopic ligation of ectopic ureter in pediatric patients: a safe surgical option for the management of urinary incontinence due to ectopic ureters

Laparoscopic clipping of ectopic ureters offers a safe, minimally invasive alternative to traditional hemi-nephrectomy or reconstruction in pediatric patients with urinary incontinence. Six patients achieved complete daytime continence with minimal complications, same-day discharge in most cases, and median 33-month follow-up showing stable outcomes despite increased hydronephrosis.
