Preferential performance of Thal fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux disease: a single institution experience

Retrospective analysis of 281 pediatric GERD patients treated with Thal fundoplication shows promising outcomes with low recurrence (6.1%) and minimal complications. This anterior partial wrapping technique may offer an effective alternative to traditional Nissen fundoplication with fewer postoperative issues.
