Risk factors influencing ascending testis after laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal closure for pediatric inguinal hernia and hydrocele

This retrospective study identifies risk factors for ascending testis after LPEC in pediatric patients with inguinal hernia or hydrocele. Birth weight below 932g, needle path not crossing the spermatic duct initially, and postoperative hematoma significantly increased the risk of requiring subsequent orchiopexy.
