The administration of hepatocyte growth factor prevents total parenteral nutrition-induced hepatocellular injury in a rat model

This rat model study demonstrates that intravenous hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) administration dose-dependently prevents TPN-induced liver injury by reducing hepatic steatosis and apoptosis.
