Hepatobiliary Scintigraphy to Evaluate Biliary Complications of Pediatric Liver Transplantation: An Account of an Experience

Retrospective study of 31 pediatric liver transplant patients demonstrates hepatobiliary scintigraphy as an effective noninvasive tool for detecting post-transplant biliary complications. Of 45 scans performed, 22 identified complications that directly influenced clinical management decisions between expectant, surgical, or minimally invasive approaches.
