Modified sequential sac ligation and staged closure technique for the management of giant omphalocele

Retrospective study of 13 neonates with giant omphalocele treated using sac ligation followed by staged closure. Nine of ten patients who underwent staged closure survived, with pneumonia being the most common complication. Pulmonary hypoplasia and major comorbidities significantly influenced outcomes.
