Bedside Laparotomy In Newborns -A Single Institute Experience

Retrospective study of 28 unstable neonates who underwent bedside laparotomy for intraabdominal sepsis (NEC, SIP, meconium complications) versus 60 operated in conventional theaters. Bedside cohort had significantly lower birth weights, higher inotrope dependence, and greater ventilatory support needs, resulting in 25% survival versus 76.67% in the theater group.
