Spinal Intramedullary Abscess Secondary to Dermal Sinus in Children

Systematic review of 50 pediatric cases of rare intramedullary spinal cord abscess caused by congenital dermal sinus. Standard treatment involves complete sinus excision, myelotomy with abscess drainage, and prolonged antibiotics, achieving good outcomes in 60% of cases. Fever and limb weakness predict poorer prognosis.
