Impact of Transanal Irrigation Device in the Management of Children With Fecal Incontinence and Constipation

This retrospective study of 147 pediatric patients evaluates the Peristeen transanal irrigation device for managing fecal incontinence and constipation in children with neurogenic bowel dysfunction, refractory constipation, and anorectal malformations. Results showed significant symptom improvement across all patient groups, with 78% remaining active users after conservative treatments failed.
