Long-term outcomes of pediatric laparoscopic needled-assisted inguinal hernia repair: a ten-year experience

Ten-year retrospective study of 1,023 pediatric patients undergoing laparoscopic needle-assisted inguinal hernia repair demonstrates excellent safety profile with 0.75% recurrence rate and mean 5.97-year follow-up. Notably, preterm infants repaired before 60 weeks post-conceptional age showed superior outcomes compared to term patients.
