Geo-Demographic Analysis of Pediatric Firearm Injuries in Miami, FL

This retrospective study uses geographic information systems to map pediatric firearm injuries in Miami, identifying high-risk zip codes in underserved African American and Hispanic neighborhoods. The analysis of 393 cases reveals that 92% were violence-related with 12% mortality, demonstrating how spatial analysis can guide targeted community interventions to reduce gun violence among children.
