Characteristics of Anorectal Malformations in Children at the United States-Mexico Border: A 3-Year Study

Three-year retrospective study of 37 children with anorectal malformations at the US-Mexico border found rectoperineal fistula in 46% of cases, potentially higher than previously reported rates. Constipation was the most common long-term complication, with postoperative outcomes comparable to other populations.
