Systematic review of 1,105 infants with stage 4S/MS neuroblastoma reveals 84% overall survival, but outcomes vary dramatically by molecular markers. MYCN amplification carries 56% mortality and 1p/11q deletion 40% mortality, while patients managed conservatively or with primary tumor resection alone show best outcomes at 6-8% mortality.
