Treating papillary and follicular thyroid cancer in children and young people: Single UK-center experience between 2003 and 2018

Retrospective study of 72 pediatric DTC patients (2003-2018) in the UK found that while disease often presents at advanced stages with 11% having lung metastases, overall survival remains excellent at 100% despite 11% recurrence rates. Study highlights need for standardized pediatric-specific treatment guidelines to optimize management of this rare condition.
