Laparoscopic-assisted anorectoplasty for intermediate type rectovestibular fistula: a preliminary report

Preliminary study of 12 female infants with intermediate rectovestibular fistula treated with laparoscopic-assisted anorectoplasty demonstrates feasibility and safety over 19.7-month mean follow-up. The minimally invasive approach provided superior visualization of the sphincter complex and reduced wound complications compared to traditional open repair.
