The impact of an enhanced recovery perioperative pathway for pediatric pectus deformity repair

Retrospective study of 55 pediatric patients comparing outcomes before and after implementing an ERAS pathway for pectus deformity repair via Nuss or Ravitch procedures. While the protocol standardized care and reduced epidural duration, it did not decrease opioid usage, complications, or length of stay, suggesting further protocol refinement is needed.
