Validating 3D indexes in the non-surgical pectus excavatum patient

This validation study demonstrates that portable 3D surface scanners accurately measure pectus excavatum severity across all grades when compared to MRI-derived indexes. The Correction Index showed particularly strong correlation and discrimination between severity groups, supporting 3D imaging as a reliable non-invasive tool for assessing non-surgical PE patients without radiation exposure.
