Outcomes of laparoscopic and open surgery in children with and without congenital heart disease

Retrospective cohort study using NSQIP-Pediatrics data (2013-2015) comparing outcomes of laparoscopic versus open intraabdominal surgery in 45,012 pediatric patients with and without congenital heart disease. Analysis examines whether minimally invasive approaches offer similar safety profiles in CHD patients requiring noncardiac procedures.
