Initiating resuscitation before umbilical cord clamping in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia: a pilot feasibility trial

This pilot trial demonstrates that intubating and ventilating infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia before umbilical cord clamping is safe and feasible, with 85% success rate. Compared to matched controls receiving immediate cord clamping, the delayed approach resulted in higher initial hemoglobin and blood pressure without differences in other clinical outcomes.
